Imagine a world where you cease to exist. A clockwork that remains to function, though missing a gear. Would then, that gear be truly essential? Friends who live life without the strife of this gear. Family who cease to maintain this gear. Would this gear then, be truly needed?
If this gear were to disappear, this world would continue to turn unfettered. The skies would still move, and the tides remain waxing and waning, without notice. People advance their lives nonetheless, a routine unaffected by the removal of this piece. Thus then, this gear would not be essential.
If this gear were so inefficient, would it not by itself weigh on the workings of this machine? Slowing down the function of clockwork, reallocating attention, energy, time. Damaging those around it and pulling itself along only with the assistance of those that pull it along. Would this gear then be a nuisance? An obsolete gear that does no good and brings no good to the function it continues to turn in.
If this gear were to be pulled from the machine, this function would continue to turn, maybe even better than it had before. Continual movement, the ever-spinning clockwork of life; if I were removed then I would see this world turn faster and stronger than it had before.
Maybe though, some things are better left unsaid.
